Yes and no, as explained above. The play Peter Pan is actually still in copyright until 2023 in the US so royalties are still due on US stage productions.

In the UK, all works by Barrie are in the public domain, but any book, film, stage adaptations of the story of Peter Pan would come under the special terms of the Copyright, Designs & Patents Act which granted Great Ormond Street Hospital a right to royalties in perpetuity (which isn't a copyright).

None of this applies to Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens or The Little White Bird which are in the public domain the world over.
