Perhaps this is a rather silly question, or perhaps it's been asked before, but I was wondering whether there are any pictures of J.M. Barrie's brother, David.



In fact, if I'm correct (but I may very well be wrong) besides, J.M. Barrie and his parents there seems to be no pictures of his first family.

I've never seen a photo of David.  Come to that, neither have I seen a photo of JMB and his wife together, not even on their wedding day.  I do find this rather strange.  Maybe there are some unique photos at JMB's birthplace/museum run by the National Trust for Scotland?  I've never been there.  Maybe JMB, or someone, destroyed any such photos long before the Barrie biographers could get their hands on them.  Can anyone throw any light on this?

I've never seen any photos of David - there's certainly none at the Barrie birthplace - and one can only speculate on what became of them. There are several of Barrie in his boyhood, so it's a fair bet that photos of David once existed, but what became of them - who knows ...
