Davies Family / Trilby in The X-Files

Hi,

I don't know if this will interest many people but there is an X-Files episode called Pusher in the season 3 of the series and it's an hommage to George du Maurier's Trilby (Svengali), we even see a bit of the movie in the episode. If you want to watch it...

Hi everyone,

Did someone (Barrie or the L. Davies family or the du Maurier family or someone related to them) live at 15 Bayswater Road?

And did the Llewelyn family live at 18 Craven Terrace? In the appartments that are there nowadays?

I've also seen "JMB" carved in a window. I don't know where it is and I don't know if Barrie carved it himself...

General topic / Peter Pan Statue in Edgmont Park, Brussels

Hello everyone,

I tried to look if this subject had already been discussed here (I'm quite new to the forum) but I don't see it so: I'm Belgian but I didn't know there was a replica of Peter Pan's statue from the Kensington Gardens in Brussels... :

It's great and I will go and see it if it's still there and I was wondering what other places related to the Du Maurier family we could visit in Belgium, apart from the place where George Llewelyn Davies was unfortunately killed during the 1st world war. I think George du Maurier lived in Antwerp but I don't know where.

Hi everyone,

I've recently learned more about the 16 personalities of the Myers Briggs' test and I was asking myself what the 4 letters of J. M. Barrie could have been. I'm pretty sure he was an introvert. I think he was more in the intuition than in the facts, realism, although he once said "I thought I was a realist",  I think and more in the emotions than in the thinking. I don't know if he planned things ahead too muchn I don't think so. If he did, it's in the judgment box (he had to judge things before doing them), if not in the perception one. It would make him an INFP. I'm INFJ and I think he could have been an INFP and some things Barrie said in the documentary make me think of me like "If I can help...". I'm always trying to help others before myself, to do good for them. He said he was in contradiction too and it's common with the xNFx's. I know he's not alive anymore to take the test himself and if he would have taken it and would have shared it (private) but if you have an opinion, I would be glad to hear it.

I think Sylvia was more of an extrovert type. Maybe the Amuser personality? I don't know... We don't have much information about her... Do you have some that could help Mister Birkin?

Davies Family / Sylvia Llewelyn Davies' eyes colour

I have read that Sylvia had hazel eyes but I also read she had grey eyes. So were they more like brown or more like blue? I have never seen any coloured picture of her and I don't know if colourized pictures are accurate anyway.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I'm Sylvia from Belgium. My mothertongue is french so please excuse my sometimes poor English.

I wasn't a fan of Peter Pan when I was a child but in 2008 I think, I watched Finding Neverland and thought: "Oh James Barrie was like me!". I'm still a little afraid he wasn't though (I know the article was made to be cynical though so it's reassuring) because we will never know so if someone could explain to me what the article about kissing pretty boys meant. I didn't understand it wholy because I'm not a native English speaker so if someone could explain it to me with their own words and by telling me who says what cause I didn't understand that quite well too, I would be very glad.
