All material appears by kind permission of Mrs Laura Duguid and the Provost and Fellows of Eton College

Characters of the House XI
M. Ll. Davies played very well the whole half and brilliantly on the field versus Bruntons.  He should, with his ever-increasing weight and speed and his never-failing zest for the game play even better than his major [George] if he will learn to kick better with his left foot.

Characters of the House XI
M.L. Davies (house colours, short)
A good kick and tackler, played well all the half, but was off form in the ties.
Maurice V. Buxton [NB]

Old Boys Return, winter 1919
In the evening there was a Supper and several speeches were made : after this the
"mad tea party " was acted in the Drawing Room with considerable skill by Talbot, Davies, Ashwin and Lowsley Williams.  The whole affair was appreciated  enormously by both the Old Boys and the present members of m'tutors.

I hope [George] Davies will write an account of m'tutors dry bobs ... . [George didn't]
Clarence Buxton [NB] summer 1911

Characters of the house eleven - Winter Half 1917, by Roger Senhouse.

M. Ll. Davies (short) came back from a fortnight's absence just in time for the ties.  Played admirably after the first, and was quite indispensible to the success of the side.  In the final he changed to long, where he fully justified his position.  An untiring player and an excellent short.
