The lost book

Just wondering if people have any thoughts on what could have happened to the "other" copy of THE BOY CASTAWYS.  Apparently, Arthur "lost" it on a train.  So, do people think it is still out there --perhaps found by a train passenger and packed away in some attic?  Or is it possible that Arthur destroyed it? If it ever "turned up" I am sure it would be quite valuable!

I'm sure Arthur didn't destroy it, so yes indeed, it might still be out there somewhere. Good hunting!
