For fans of The Lost Boys film (and if you’re here, you probably are), here are links to other movies based on true stories about children inspiring famous works of children’s literature.
Dreamchild (1985)- I’ve only seen the young Alice Liddell scenes with Charles Dodgson (played by our very own Barrie, Ian Holm), and even though I don’t think the relationship is totally accurate to what happened in real life, it’s still performed really well by Ian and Amelia Shankley (young Alice), and it’s probably the only film depicting this relationship we are ever going to get. Though you never know!

Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017)- A biopic of how the relationship between A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin Milne inspired the elder Milne to write the Winnie-the-Pooh books, and how the success of the books impacted the family in positive and negative ways.

Not good video quality, so I recommend you buy the DVD online. But the audio is fine.
The Tale of Beatrix Potter (1982)- This was a 2-Part Mini-Series, but only the first part is on YouTube divided into 4 parts. The second part is who knows where. This biopic tells the story of how Beatrix Potter came to write “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”. Potter came up with the story while writing letters to entertain her governess’ son Noel who was ill from scarlet fever.
