Hello & Who I am

Hello Everyone,
My name is Marilyn McGregor - maiden surname Johnston. I live in Australia and our family has been down-under since 1850 although some of our ancestors came later.
I remember being told by my father & Aunty that we are related to JM Barrie. Through which line I have no idea. I decided to join this group to see if I can work it out.
Names associated with our family are:
JOHNSTON, CAIRNS, McLEAN, LOCHHEAD, HUTCHESON, GRAHAM, RITCHIE, HENDERSON, SCOTT, ELLIOT, KERR, HARLEY, MILLER, NAISMITH & WILSON. The last three mentioned are back in the 1700s.
I have done a llittle bit of research before & have never found any connection, so I am thinking that IF there is one, it must be through another member of JM's family.
I have passed on the story but it would be much better if I could say how (or say there is no link).
